As an initiative on 5th June, commemorating World Environment Day, let us look into ourselves to make our place - the environment a better place to live in.
“What we are doing to the forests of the world is but a mirror reflection of what we are doing to ourselves and to one another.”
Our mindset matters. It affects everything - from the business and investment decisions we make, to the way we raise our children, to our stress levels and overall well-being and wellness around. We cannot force the development of mindfulness, it comes from within.
When we talk about Environment - Existence - Engagement - the very cue starts from the self.
Looking at beauty of the world, and appreciating and accepting it, is the first step of purifying the mind.
We are like stained - glass.
We sparkle and shine through the gleaming beauty of our own spectrum,
We mirror and create our own selves
We are only responsible for whatever we come across in our life.
We take pride in living our Life and
Celebrate Every Single Moment of it to evolve, as self, Community and Terrane".
....................... Aham Brahmasmi.
Human life encounters a lot of titrations and combination reactions to derive an exponential solution. The process has ensured us and our generations with an endowment to a holistic way of life and its processes of intelligence involved.
The solution derived is a combination formula of love, care, empathy and congeniality structured by the bonds of will, grit, determination and resilience, to conclude,
“This Too Shall Pass”; as diamonds after being treated ..... “The Uncut Truth”.
As explained in the words of Henry Ford “Coming together is the beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.”, this state of giving and take as a customary, constitute a rostrum of co-existence that resonates and synergizes the process of wellbeing and the formula of the Success Quotient of life and its processes.
The quotient thus obtained is only, when the magnitude of a part is divided by the magnitude of the whole, means what we undergo in a present moment is only a part of a whole. So the State of the art of life is to learn to walk steadfast towards the next moment, while reflecting on the learning experiences of the past moment.
A Logical Review:
Let us analogise this realistic pictographic illustration of "Vikram and Bethal", with the human mind.
As we all know, this imaginative illustration happened only during nights when Raja Vikram used to stroll in the forest, when checking for the wellness of his subjects. Subsequently, it helped him in his own wellness, with the art of inner engineering.
However, the situational incidences and questions raised by Bethel were not only thought-provoking but critically challenging the challenges and the analytical thought processes that led to pragmatic solutions, that made Maharajah Vikram a prudent leader.
Let us imagine and delve into a mirror-image situation of Bethal is none other than Maharaj Vikram himself, "his true - inner soul" and thoughts - are his own thoughts that are alerting him to find solutions.
If yes, let us empathize Raja Vikram as ourself, to agree upon the following facts. Though it is good to have the sea of thoughts pouring in the pros and cons:
1. Is it not too heavy to carry Bethal all the time, wherever Raja Vikram goes?
2. Is it not too challenging to put up with the craziness of Bethal all the time?
3. Is it not too awkward for Raja Vikram to get exposure to his weaknesses through Bethal?
4. If we go behind and with Bethal, all the time, when do we implement our solutions into action?
So, what did our wise Raja Vikram do?
Raja Vikram never carried Bethal, all day long, everywhere. He used Bethal (his own inner self) as only a travelling partner whose accomplice and advice yielded results. Raja Vikram gave only his strolling time at night to Bethal (his other side/inner soul) to come out and interact on various issues that needed attention. But, in reality, he plunged into actions with the the resolutions. wherever, whenever needed.
So, Why are we only carrying THAT HEAVY BAG on our shoulders wherever we go and spilling beans of problems, cries and negativity spreading pessimism around?
"What goes around, comes around" - We are the creator of our own destiny" -
Our Destiny and its influence itself is like a wonderful wide tapestry in which every thread is guided by an unspeakable tender hand, placed beside another thread and held and carried by a hundred others. Every intention, interaction, motivation, every colour, every body, every action and reaction, every piece of physical reality and the thoughts that it engendered, every connection made, every nuanced moment, every flagstone, every emotion, every possible thing ever is woven into that limitless, sprawling web, So let us spread positivity with good vibes and empathy to create a harmonious living environment.
As it is beautifully explained in the following lines from "Natya Sastra" -
"Yato hasta stato drishti”…”Where the hand gestures are, the eyes follow”
“Yato drishti stato manaha”…”Where the eyes go, the mind follows”
“Yato manaha stato bhava”…”Where the mind is, there is the feeling evolves”
“Yato bhava stato rasa”…”Where the feeling evolves, the Rasa flows”
In other words, as said in "Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder," anything in life, starts from - Your Vision - Your perspective - the way you look at it.
What we see - We receive
What we receive - We conceive
What we conceive - We perceive
What we perceive - We achieve
So we need to be mindful of "Our vision, mision (thoughts) and action with a congruence of an unifocal effort".
If this conglomeration is immaculate, like a crystal spectrum, without any defect, we will learn to appreciate every single beauty in God's Creation and intervene with our support to any of the defect, that we come across and we will live in peace that will enlighten our environment to live in harmony.
Here is our place on this invincible planet and we have only one planet to live.
"Our Mother Earth" - People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace and Partnership - constitute the whole.
As responsible and committed persons of this planet,
Let us vow to protect it. Let us celebrate the beauty of it in its diversity, by being inclusive and empathetic. Let us cherish and its natural opulence, cherish the natural resources, cherish the history and romance as a sacred heritage, for your children and your children's children. Do not let the selfish you or greedy instincts skin your resources and the richness of its beauty, which is the epitome of ones - truthfulness, trust, love and understanding, while being 'HUMAN". CHERISH THE PRECIOUS YOU, INSTEAD OF PERISHING IT.
When there is righteousness in the heart, there will be beauty in the character. When there is beauty in the character, there will be harmony in the home. When there is harmony in the home, there will be order in the nations. When there is order in the nations, there will peace in the world.
We will sparkle and shine through the gleaming beauty of our own spectrum, We will mirror and create our own selves,
Such an enlightening environment is not outer, but inner,
“It is our collective and individual responsibility to preserve and tend to the world in which we all live. The Earth does not belong to us; we belong to the Earth.”
A journey of thousand miles begins with a single step and let us be the change that we wish to seen in our environment.
Every opportunity is a beautiful path, paved with countless small steps and efforts taken consistently. Each of these little strides, when added together, propels us closer to our ultimate destination.
Embrace the power of these tiny baby steps, for they hold the key to reaching our goals, embarking on a new pavilion, pursuing growth, to remember that success is a journey comprised of countless small steps.
As this day, this moment is so dear to steer every opportunity to make our environment a better place to live in. Starting from today, let us "Celebrate every single moment of life, so as to evolve as self, community and terrane."
HAPPY ENVIRONMENT DAY,
Take that first step today and start creating the future you envision.
